Student Successfully Completes Fire Brigade Course

Student Successfully Completes Fire Brigade Course

Ryan attended a fire course at New Malden Fire station in January 2012. The course contained fire drills, climbing up ladders, using hoses and learning about fire safety. The course also included basic first aid (CPR), how fires could be started and how to tackle a small fire.

Ryan achieved all his targets set at the beginning of the course and was proud of his "10 points" scored across the board. Ryan would recommend this course to other students' because it is fun and informative. At the end of the course Ryan attended a "passing out parade" and he would now like to pursue a career in the fire service.

We are all proud of his achievements - well done Ryan!

Exam Results - Message from the Head

This year has been a tough year for our staff and students as they have endured quite a lot of upheaval due to major building works, but we are now enjoying its completion! Despite this, students have still managed to get our best results yet - well done to you all!

GCSE's, Btec and ALAN all have added up to get students into colleges and positive destinations. Each result has counted.

Congratulations to you all and please make sure you come back to tell us about how you are all getting on.

The Limes College presents 'Tailor Made in Sutton'

The Limes College presents 'Tailor Made in Sutton'

Tailor Made in Sutton:

What does it mean to be from Sutton?

This is the question students from The Limes College are visually representing in their first ever exhibition for Imagine, Sutton's Festival of Art. This project has been inspired by touretteshero.com where their work can be seen along side professional artists. Touretteshero aims to increase awareness and understanding of tourettes syndrome by celebrating the spontaneity and creativity of the condition though art.

The Limes College presents 'Tailor Made in Sutton' a collection of photographs consisting of both digital and traditional darkroom prints. The students' objectives were to represent how Sutton is seen by portraying its eccentricities and to show an honest view of life in their home town. This has resulted in an exhibition that shows maturity and comic brilliance.Contributing artists:

Troy, Ayrton, Stephen, Ali, Patsy, Charlie, Dan, Zac, Tony, Demi, Connor, Dylan, Jack,  Jake, & Robbie.

Staff Involved: Laura, Matt, Kelly, and Leila
