Are you the parent of a student at The Limes College?
- Do you need support?
- Do you feel like you don’t understand your child?
- Do you feel like you are living with an alien?
- Do you feel like you have nowhere else to turn?
- Do you want to improve your relationship with your teenager?
The Limes College holds a regular Family Support Group Meeting on a Thursday morning at the Sutton Youth Centre at 9.45am. Parents and students are welcomed with a very informal induction and drink. At 10.40am your son/daughter will be escorted back to their normal lessons if appropriate and at this point you will have chance to discuss any issues or problems with the group. If you feel you are unable to discuss your concerns in a group environment, you may wish to talk in confidence to a staff member. If so please call Jackie Lawrence here at The Limes College on mobile: 0773 633 8809 and she will call you back at your convenience.

Our Family Support Group has now been running successfully for over two years. The group has been visited by Paul Martin the Chief Executive for Sutton Council who commented that he found the group to be amongst “the very best I have seen since joining Sutton Council”. This kind of positive feedback highlights the dedicated work that both our staff and families contribute to the group. Some of our regular parents who have been attending since the start of the group have applied to The Limes College to become voluntary support workers.
Also, as part of our provision at the Limes College, we are able to offer our families a range of support, advice and activities that they may find helpful. Our Parent Outreach Workers, Jackie Lawrence and Janice Philpott, will be happy to contact you to introduce themselves and to discuss any concerns you or your family may have with a view to arranging support you feel may be beneficial.
